On December 1, a coalition of organizations including the ACLU of Delaware sent a joint complaint to the Environmental Protection Agency regarding the failure of Delaware state officials to adequately monitor, remediate, and alert the public about heightened lead levels in drinking water at public schools.
The coalition is asking the EPA to hold state officials accountable to promises they made when accepting federal grant dollars and ensure all students are protected from lead contamination in their learning environment.
