On Monday, November 28th, members of the ACLU Club of Widener Law School and ACLU-DE Stay In School Coordinator, Alexandria Nedd, volunteered at the H. Fletcher Brown Boys and Girls Club in Wilmington.

ACLU volunteers tutored about 20 youth who are a part of the Boys and Girls Club's "Homework Help" group.

The large number of volunteers allowed for one-on-one tutoring of students from various Wilmington schools, ranging in age from kindergarten through sixth grade. The students were a joy to work with. Widener Law ACLU President, Nicholas Madiou, hopes the chapter will continue volunteering in the upcoming semester.

The ACLU of Widener Law recently had its first general meeting of the 2011-2012 year and has been in contact with ACLU-DE executive director, Kathleen MacRae. They are planning a number of joint activities over the next few months. Stay tuned for information on these future collaborative efforts!
