This two-hour introductory workshop explores the techniques and strategies used by the Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) to reduce violence in both prison and community settings. The goal is to inform and inspire local groups to see ways to utilize elements of this highly successful, evidence-based program for their own communities and institutions.
