This June will mark two years since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. We're in the middle of a nationwide crisis and Delaware has the opportunity to enhance abortion protection and ensure abortion services are accessible for all who need it.

House Substitute 2 for House Bill 110 (HS 2 for HB 110) ensures abortion access by reducing financial barriers for people covered by Medicaid, private insurance, and state insurance plans. Funding abortion care through Medicaid, private, and state insurance will help break down socioeconomic barriers and address racial disparities in reproductive health.

This legislation ensures that insurance covers abortion services up to $750 per person annually. With the average cost of an abortion falling between $500 and $791, most insured individuals can access abortion services at no cost, without any out-of-pocket expenses.
