Voting rights, reproductive freedoms, immigrants’ rights, education equity, and Smart Justice are some of the many important issues that directly impact Wilmington residents – and the legislators we elect in 2022 will be responsible for creating solutions to these issues. Our neighborhoods and communities deserve candidates who are committed to the kind of change we care about.
Join the ACLU of Delaware, coalition partners, and local activists on Thursday, September 8 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Rock Lot in Wilmington for the Vote Your Values Community Pop-Up, co-hosted by Life Worth Living Church and Wilmington Alliance. Hear about solutions to the issues you care about, learn where the candidates in your district stand, and find out how you can get involved this election season – all while enjoying free food catered by The Stand Food Truck!
We know that local elections don’t often make big headlines, but the decisions made at the local level have a big impact on our daily life. The midterm elections give us an opportunity to send a message to our elected officials that we, as voters, hold the power to make decisions about our neighborhoods and communities.
This election season, it’s time to vote your values.
The event is free and open to the public and can be attended in person at the Rock Lot in Wilmington (305 W 8th St). Registration is encouraged, but not required.
This collaborative effort is co-sponsored by ACLU Smart Justice Campaign, Clean Slate Delaware, S.A.F.E Schools Delaware, Planned Parenthood of Delaware, Common Cause Delaware, League of Women Voters, the Votamos, We Vote Coalition, Delaware Interfaith Power & Light, and Delaware Poor People’s Campaign.
