James E. Newton, University of Delaware professor emeritus of Black American Studies, will provide an examination of Dr. King’s life, exploring his early years growing up in segregated Atlanta to his later years as a Nobel Peace Prize winner. The legacy of King as a civil rights leader, orator and humanitarian will be reviewed.
