This documentary reveals how the remarkable story of modern activism and the power of people to change their world, through the legacy of an unassuming, soft-spoken man. Professor Gene Sharp has written the blueprint for revolutionary leaders around the globe, "From Dictatorship to Democracy," a handbook of 198 strategic 'weapons' to topple dictators.

The film explores how organizers of an uprising in one country train and inspire participants in the next, and how social media now threatens tyrants in ways that were unimaginable a decade ago. We also meet progressive trailblazers from Serbia, Ukraine, Egypt, and Syria, who discuss how they struggled to seize democratic power.

This event will take place in the meeting room adjacent to Rodney Chapel. Free adjacent-lot parking is available. For more information, call 302-656-2721.
