Ballot Power: Immigrants' Rights

August 23, 2022 @ 6:30 pm

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT AVAILABLE FOR THIS EVENT

Over the past few years, a growing anti-immigrant sentiment has demonized, terrorized, and endanged the nearly 45 million immigrants currently living in the United States, as well as those hoping to become U.S. citizens. With growing immigrant communities, the need for effective and collaborative advocacy on issues ranging from access to healthcare, law enforcement, and access to government services has increased exponentially.

This election season, we as voters must commit to pushing back against cruel anti-immigrant policies and defending the constitutionally guaranteed rights and civil liberties of every person in this country — regardless of documentation, refugee, or immigration status. Join us at a virtual training to learn more about what it means to vote to protect immigrants’ rights in 2022.

This training will educate attendees on our voting rights policy priorities and offer actions voters can take to ensure that Delaware elects lawmakers who are prepared to lock in their commitment to supporting these measures. Our priority legislative issues include:

  • Protecting undocumented children;
  • Preventing ICE-DMV Collaboration;
  • Mandating Dedicated Spanish Language Employees; and
  • Expanding Access to Services for DACA Recipients.

Registration is required in order to attend this webinar. The webinar will be recorded.
